Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Purpose
We utilise AI technologies to enhance the quality, efficiency, and scalability of the software solutions we provide. This policy ensures our clients that our use of AI aligns with industry best practices and maintains the confidentiality and integrity of their information.
Scope
This policy applies to all services and products developed and delivered by Energyline Limited that involve or are supported by AI technologies.
Use of AI in Service Delivery

We reserve the right to use AI technologies, including machine learning models, to assist in the development and operation of our software products.

AI is used to support tasks such as code generation, data analysis, automation, and pattern recognition, with the goal of improving performance and outcomes for our clients.
Protection of Proprietary and Confidential Information

We do not use or expose proprietary, confidential, or customer-specific information to public or open AI models (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, etc.).

Any data that is not already publicly available is treated as confidential and is not input into any model that retains data for retraining or redistribution.

Where there is a legitimate need to process sensitive or proprietary data using AI, we exclusively use one-way, non-learning AI services such as Amazon Bedrock that ensure data is used solely for the immediate task and is not stored or reused by the AI provider.
Data Governance & Compliance

We comply with all applicable data privacy regulations, including the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).

We take reasonable steps to ensure all data used by or with AI technologies is anonymised where appropriate and secured throughout its lifecycle.
Transparency and Accountability

We maintain transparency with clients about how AI is used in the delivery of services.

Clients may request a summary of how AI was applied in the context of their specific project or service.
Limitations of AI & Disclaimer

While we use AI technologies responsibly and in line with industry standards, all outputs generated through AI tools should be considered advisory only.

We do not accept liability for outcomes resulting from the use of AI-generated outputs.

Both Energyline Limited and our clients are expected to apply professional judgment before acting on any information, suggestions, or results generated by AI.
Review and Updates
This policy may be reviewed and updated periodically in line with technological advances and regulatory changes. Clients will be notified of any material updates that impact how their data is used in conjunction with AI
